Hupisaarten City Park

The Hupisaarten park area invites you to a green oasis in summer and a snow-covered wonderland in winter. Located in the immediate vicinity of Oulu city centre, Hupisaaret is a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, culture vultures and romantics alike, inviting locals and visitors to the city to enjoy themselves, have adventure and play, picnic and relax. Discover the new OULU letters in the park and take a photo with them to remember! The Oulu Art Museum is also located near the park, so there's plenty to do both inside and out.

The Kiikku café is open in the park during the summer, while a varied playground offers adventure all year round. The stunning architect-designed Hupisaarten Summer Theatre offers cultural experiences for the whole family. Old-fashioned gazebos and charming wooden bridges connecting small islands are nice places to rest and film. With the Hupisaaret mobile game, you can discover the stories of the Hupisaarten. At the northern end of the park is the longest fish ladder in Finland and the only one on the Oulu River. You can spot migratory fish there from May to the end of October.
